Following a challenging 12 months, the countdown to the famous and longest-running community festival is back with a bang. A COVID-safe Casino Food Co-Op Beef Week Festival will run from Saturday, May 22nd to Tuesday, June 1st and features the Westlawn Finance Beef Week Rodeo, among many other industry events.
Westlawn has been a gold sponsor of the festival since 1995, being one of the longest-serving sponsors of the highly regarded community event. This year, they will support the entire rodeo, which will take place at the Casino Showgrounds mid-way through the festival on Saturday, May 29th at 3pm. The rodeo will see up to 200 top competitors from across the Northern Rivers and as far as Queensland.
Saddle up for a range of events, including rough riding events – open bull riding, seniors, bull riding, novice bull riding, junior bull riding, junior steer riding, and local poddy ride.
The Westlawn Finance Beef Week Rodeo is a predominant event on the competitive rodeo calendar, with entries for the events officially taken by the National Rodeo Association and points going towards the competitor’s yearly tally.

Westlawn has been supporting the community since 1964 when local Grafton retailers could not get finance for their customers for sewing machines, televisions, washing machines, and other goods; locals Bill and Peter Dougherty established Westlawn to come to their aid.
Today, Westlawn is helping more than 40 local organisations every year – many of them based in the Northern Rivers.
