Back in 1964, when local Grafton retailers could not get finance for their customers for sewing machines, televisions, washing machines and other goods, locals Bill and Peter Dougherty established Westlawn to come to their aid.In 1972, Mike Dougherty joined his cousins and the decision was made to extend services to a full local finance company whilst also diversifying into the property sector with the acquisition and development of commercial real estate.

Administration Assistant – Westlawn Insurance Brokers

Administration Assistant - Westlawn Insurance Brokers Location - Murwillumbah The opportunity Westlawn Insurance Brokers is seeking the services of an Insurance Administration Assistant, to be based in our Murwillumbah office. This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm, and the primary focus of the position will be to provide administrative support. Key responsibilities will initially include (but are not limited to):

Provide a high level of customer service
Processing of policy documentation
General administration support
Telephone and face to face enquiries
Undertake study to obtain qualifications of Tier 2 and/or Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking)

Ideally you will

Have completed your Higher School Certificate
Have excellent computer and keyboard skills, sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Email programs
Be well presented with sound communication skills combined with an enthusiastic approach to customer service
Have the ability to work as part of a progressive team
Have an eye for detail and accuracy
Financial services experience would be an advantage, candidates who display qualities of being; able to grasp new concepts, flexible and receptive, will be considered.
