Westlawn Finance Tenterfield remains under the administration of the inaugural Manager Peter Zeller, born and bred in the New England. Peter has gained extensive finance experience both in metropolitan and regional country areas but has found his niche and settled permanently. Peter is heavily involved with many local and district community organisations, most of which receive regular Westlawn sponsorship.

He is particularly involved in equine pursuits and does not fit the mould of your typical desk-bound office worker. Peter is particularly proud of the brand acceptance throughout Northern New South Wales and Southern Queensland and believes that the unique product offering and personalised customer service makes Westlawn the perfect fit and the obvious alternative to big banks. While the big banks seem to be withdrawing local services, Westlawn is committed to the growth of their preferred locations, with Tenterfield being an all-important cog.

Tenterfield township

Tenterfield is a historic town of 3,500 residents, strategically placed on the juncture of the New England and Bruxner Highways on the Northern point of the picturesque New England region. It is a recognised tourist destination, famous for its four distinctive seasons, magnificent Autumn tree displays and the country hospitality. The economy revolves around farming and grazing, producing quality cattle, sheep and wool. Tenterfield nestles close to the Granite Belt wineries. There is a distinct village atmosphere with its own ambience and heavily frequented ladies clothing retailers and popular restaurants/cafes. In keeping with the Westlawn Regional North concept, the branch was opened in 2006 and is located on Level 1 of the impressive, Heritage listed, Exchange Hotel Building Circa 1890. The branch, the management, the welcome and the Exchange Building truly capture and reflect the upmarket village concept.


The Westlawn Tenterfield office is able to offer most financial, investment, insurance and wealth creation products and services. We cater for all industries, having exposure and established strong relationships with rural, commercial, development, retail, motor trade and personal consumer customers. Whilst the Westlawn Finance Tenterfield office predominately focusses on lending and investment, Peter is able to arrange immediate introduction to insurance and wealth creation specialists within the group. These specialists are proactive and mobile, so customers never feel they are isolated from all the available service living in Tenterfield and are always part of the Westlawn Family Network.

There are strong links between Tenterfield and Casino, primarily with regional livestock selling centres and again Westlawn is at the forefront with major sponsorship of Beef Week. Peter is a long-term Co-MC of the Annual Casino Beef Week Saturday programme. This further demonstrates the cohesion between Westlawn branches, staff and our commitment to our communities.
