About Westlawn Tenterfield
Tenterfield is a historic town of 3,500 residents, strategically placed on the juncture of the New England and Bruxner Highways on the Northern point of the picturesque New England region. It is a recognised tourist destination, famous for its four distinctive seasons, magnificent Autumn tree displays and the country hospitality. The economy revolves around farming and grazing, producing quality cattle, sheep and wool. Tenterfield nestles close to the Granite Belt wineries. There is a distinct village atmosphere with its own ambience and heavily frequented ladies clothing retailers and popular restaurants/cafes. There are repeated comments along the lines of; “I could live here”, “my relatives are moving here” or “these shops are incredible”.
In keeping with the Westlawn Regional North concept, the branch was opened in 2006 and is located on Level 1 of the impressive, Heritage listed, Exchange Hotel Building Circa 1890. The branch, the management, the welcome and the Exchange Building truly capture and reflect the upmarket village concept.
