Grafton put on another perfect winter’s day for the annual Westlawn Black & Gold Race Day again this year.
With gates opening at 10.30 am a steady stream of eager racegoers of all ages entered the course, taking advantage of the free entry. Keeping with the spirit of the day, many of the racegoers were dressed in their finest Black & Gold. And with the Byron Bay KidzKlub on hand, there were plenty of fun activities to keep the kids entertained throughout the day.
Congratulations to former Westlawn staffer Danielle Cunningham and her fiancé Dan Want who popped the question in the Parade Ring after the horse he trains, Dangta, stormed home to win in the third race.
Check out our short video of some of the images captured on Race Day. Are you in the picture?
If our roaming photographer took your photo on the day, you can request a copy by contacting our Grafton office.
